Board elections will take place at the meeting

We are seeking new volunteers to be on our board. The board meets just once a month (except December) for 90 minutes. The open positions are:

Treasurer – Keeper of VPNA finances, including tracking incoming grant money and our own general bank account, plus submission of annual tax records. We have few transactions each year.

Secretary – The official note taker of the board meetings.

Sub-neighborhood rep – Residents of Whittier Place, Quail Glen, Taft Manor, and Independence Park, we need eyes and ears for your area! (See the map.) As a rep, you would come to our meetings, provide input, and participate in decision-making.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Kickstarter – West End Food Truck Park (Updated)

Boise needs a home for the many food trucks and the West End is an ideal location where food and people can form a new community. Contribute to a great project to revitalize the Main/Fairview corridor! Matt and Erin Sorenson are West End Neighbors who also own Whiz Kids. Time is short only a few hours left. The Food Truck Rally is partnering with the Boise Relay for Life this Friday, March 14th to kick off their fundraising efforts. The Food Truck Rally is a monthly event in the Boise area that gathers food trucks in one spot for a community dining experience. 7 trucks will be rounded up at Whitewater Park Blvd (formally 30th Street) between Main and Fairview from 5-9pm. The American Cancer Society will have registration available for this year’s Relay for Life as well as giveaways and prizes! Radio Boise’s DJ Winkle will be spinning great tunes for everyone to enjoy.

In honor of Relay for Life, each truck will have a special purple-themed dish on their menu. Patrons of the rally will get to vote via donating to the American Cancer Society and the truck raising the money most will be honored!

Payette Brewing will have craft beer on tap plus a selection of Idaho wines available. IDs are required.

This is a family friendly (and dog-on-leash friendly) event. Parking available on site. Carpooling is encouraged. Bike parking available too!
