On January 27th VPNA meeting will be held as planned over Zoom (advance registration below). Interfaith Sanctuary will attend our meeting and present their plans. We welcome our neighbors to attend and give your views. We anticipate that VPNA will be writing a letter reflecting the neighborhood residents’ opinions and participate in commenting in the future process as the proposal goes to City Council, etc.

Might be helpful to watch Seattle is Dying by KOMO news on YouTube. Homelessness in tent camps is really a huge drug problem. Don’t let Interfaith fool you into thinking they have any true handle on the situation- they would need a program like the one back east to make their center safe for your community. I don’t think they have the expertise to run this center safely for the neighborhood or the people coming in and out of their facility. Make them get specific- this news report gives specifics on what does and does not work. Keep Boise and the parks and green belt from becoming another mess like Seattle.
