30th street extension

The City of Boise and Ada County Highway District (ACHD) have initiated a cooperative effort to work with businesses and residents to shape the 30th Street area’s future. The 30th Street Area Plan will guide the City of Boise and will be considered by ACHD in making decisions concerning land use, transit services and amenities, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, streetscapes, redevelopment initiatives, the use and development of key city-owned properties, and investment in recreation within the area.

Construction is currently programmed for 2013 in the ACHD Five-Year Work Plan. An increased revenue forecast and reduced cost estimates allowed this project to be moved up from its original 2014 construction year. This project ranks number one among Boise City’s road project requests and is expected to be built in time for the opening of the city’s Esther Simplot Park.
